The context
Why institutions are buying bottles at all 2026 ප්රතිසංස්කරණ
Two 2026 rules reshaped institutional purchasing: uncertified plastic drinking bottles can no longer be sold (the SLS mark became mandatory on 1 April), and single-use plastic water bottles were banned in government premises from 31 May. The refill-and-reuse model replaced the carton-and-crate model almost overnight — every office, school programme and field operation now needs durable bottles, washable, in consistent specification, in the hundreds.
This site documented that shift as it happened — our SLS rules guide and price research are public and dated. The sourcing service is for institutions whose requirement doesn't fit in a shopping cart.

Who we help
Programme types වැඩසටහන්
Government offices
Refill-and-reuse stock replacing banned single-use bottles — desks, meeting rooms, field units.

Hospitals and clinics need washable, sterilizable bottles — glass sits well in that workflow.

Plantations, estates and training centres with large field workforces.
Rules & compliance
What we can and can't advise on නීතිමය කරුණු
As published, the 2026 SLS rule covers plastic drinking bottles (SLS 1616) and polymer feeding bottles (SLS 1306) — glass and stainless steel bottles sit outside it. Import requirements, however, can depend on product type, classification and current regulations, and institutional purchases often carry their own procurement documentation standards.
